What part of Europe was THAT? I’m finding that no part of Continental Europe does anyone seem to know what the shower, hot water, towels and SOAP are for.

In some of these hostels it would have to be translated like 10 times just to make sure everyone understood it. I mean I was recently in a hostel that had separate womens’ and mens’ WCs and on the door of the womens’ one was a threat to the men who might go in there that they would be checked out immediately if they went through that door. This is Poland. The thing was in English. You guessed it – men were always going in there. Excuse – they can’t read English.

It’s really annoying to listen to someone else’s game or viral video, especially if you’ve been traveling all day and just want to rest.

I’ve tried them three times. Last night there were these guys having a loud conversation at 11pm, then another guy was loudly eating chips at 12am. At midnight an unrelated guy shined his bright cellphone light erratically, which woke me up. THEN the guy in the top bunk across from mine kept kicking my bed, and not in his sleep: he was awake.

This is normal for all my hostel visits and I usually become so deranged from exhaustion I don’t enjoy my time in that city. I despise hostels so much that if I can’t afford a single room then I just don’t travel. Or I travel to poor countries where single rooms are affordable. I’ll never stay in a hostel again. Most people are horrible and inconsiderate.

So just because the room is cheap the behaviors can be too? Do I expect total silence? Nope. But I also expect people to “have fun” without infringing on others people’s quite time…

I think there should be rules that you have to read and sign before you get a room at the hostel…and if you are pointed out…then you get demerit’s LOL and it gets passed around to other hostels…you should be charged extra like 2 0r 4 bucks or perhaps posting their mug at the hostel…like a wanted poster, with one liners underneath…LOL example…”Miss thing, likes to slam doors, not clean up after herself, How’s that? too harsh? ahh lol something for being a twit…hitting them in the pocketbook is where it counts…

Whole night, the rhythm of snoring continues to mess with everybody’s sleep rhythm. However, at times, I have also been woken up for snoring. So, I don’t hold a grudge as such. But, it can really get on nerves!

Cheers!

I laughed at the “right and wrong way” to have sex. I’ll try to remember the bit about plastic bags. :/ It has never bothered me so I guess I hadn’t considered it. I’m learning!
