Beautiful nature, but very dirty country, garbage everywhere, and more expensive than Greece.

Yes! Thanks for writing this. Just shared this with my newsletter. I spent 3 months there starting this past December and it’s definitely an underrated destination. trust me when I tell you: this is an up-and-coming nomadic destination.

Absolutely agree Matt, it is the undiscovered gem of Europe. We enjoyed three months, fell in love with the country, the people are an absolute delight, the food is exceptional and dining scene also. Then you are blessed with beautiful coastal towns and endless nature, everywhere you looked you were mesmerised. Also incredibly safe. We even left a designer scarf in a bar in Tirana and a week later it was still there where we left it. Thanks for sharing. Sal

I had recently watched Yes Theory’s video on Albania. I could learn about the bunkers, the people and the country’s history a little. Thank you for introducing me to the beautiful Komani Lake and adventurous Osumi Canynon. With every article I read of yours, I add another destination to my bucket list.

The biggest problem in Albania is the Rubbish. If the government does not do something about it is not worth it going back again , specifically along the coastline.

When I decided to ride a motorbike to Albania in 2019, people from my home country India as well as people in Europe, gave me a lot of “free” warnings about how I should be careful about my motorcycle and stuff. For me as a tourist, this was one of my favourite country in that journey.

People have a completely different picture of Albania!

Would love to visit again and explore more. 🙂
